Semi-final Heartache for Revolution

The BAFACL Division Two semi-final was between the Manchester Titans & Shropshire Revolution.

As predicted the game was extremely close throughout with Manchester only securing their win inside the last minute of the game. The home side struck first after a good kick return – something which proved to be a decisive factor in the game – gave them the ball deep inside Revolution territory. Manchester Running Back Timothy Barton barged in from two yards out and with a missed extra point attempt, Titans led 6-0.

Shropshire rose to the challenge however, moving down the field on their first possession and punishing Running Back Russ Lingwood dived in for a touchdown from three yards out. Kicker Matt Pearce added the extras and the visitors held the narrowest of leads, 7-6.
